Capt. Mike Holliday

Costa Sunglasses is a friend of the blog.  I got an email from them this morning telling me about a site they have put together called the Watery Rave.  Captain Mike Holliday, a veteran saltwater guide on Florida’s Treasure Coast and sportfishing writer, has joined Watery Rave as the Editor.  Most recently, Capt. Mike was an editor at Florida Fishing Weekly.

Watery Rave takes us on awesome fishing adventures…from Kayaking in Kamchatka, to motoring across Mexico in search of big fish in a vegetable oil powered truck.  The fishing adventures are great, but the site also explores issues around conservation that are important in preserving the natural resource we all enjoy and love.

I’ve posted a couple articles here about the Marine Protected Areas (MPA’s)  in SoCal.  In future posts, I’ll write about them as it affects our sport.  I think conservation is important to making sure that we get to enjoy the ocean now, but also so that Jake and Juliana and your children and grandchildren can pass along this love as well.  Please take a visit and let me know what you think.
