Kind of lost amid the excitement of the marlin sighting on Monday’s ride on Gentleman Sportfishing, was the 2 yellowtail caught on the trip. They were caught by father and son, Dorian and Nicola Salazar. Nicola caught the first one after a very long day of really nothing happening…at least of our intended goal of catching yellows. I found out later from his dad, that it was the first one his son had ever caught and our trip was his first ever fishing trip on a sportboat.
Since it was a slow day, I took time out from fishing myself to video the end of the fight. Here’s the video…
