Costa “Corbina” in the new 580P Sunrise lens

At ICAST last year with Nat Geo’s “Shark Men”

I’ve been associated with Costa Sunglasses, almost since the inception of the blog.  I reviewed the Costa Jose’s and wear them on every trip.  I love that Costa develops products specifically for us anglers.  Along the way, they’ve chosen to work with some of the saltiest people around…people like the late great Jose Wejebe and SoCal salties like Nat Geo’s Shark Men!

Just in time for our offshore season kicking off, Costa has introduced a new lens, the 580P Sunrise.  These lenses are optimized for low light conditions like that early morning gray light bite (perfect for white seabass fishing) or dusk when that hot second bite of the day often happens.  Chas MacDonald, president of Costa Sunglasses, explains “The sunrise lens gives anglers who are up before the dawn and out at dusk an edge to spot the fish more clearly when the light levels are lower.”

You can read all the details of the new 580P Sunrise lens here.

To celebrate, Costa is offering a free pair of glasses to SoCal Salty readers.

HOW DO I WIN THE GLASSES?

  • Like our page on facebook – facebook.com/socalsalty
  • Share this post to your facebook wall (make sure it’s Public), mentioning the @socalsalty page so I can track the share

I’ll draw a winner from all the entrants at 9am Pacific, Monday July 16th.  The winner will be emailed details to order their free pair of sunglasses directly from Costa.  Easy!  Even if you aren’t an avid angler like me, you can’t go wrong wearing a stylish pair of Costa shades.  See what’s out there!  Good luck!

This contest is now OVER.  Congratulations to Jeremy Fritchy of Clearwater, FL!
